Moss Rose Planting Guide

Moss Rose🌹

1. Choose a Planting Location:
Moss roses (Portulaca) love full sun 🌞. Select a well-drained, sandy or loamy soil for optimal growth.

2. Prepare the Soil:
These plants tolerate poor soil, but they thrive in slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0-7.0) 🌾. Work in some compost to improve fertility.

3. Planting Instructions:
Sow seeds on the soil surface and gently press them down 🌍. Do not cover with soil, as light is required for germination. Space them 6-12 inches apart.

4. Watering Requirements:
Water deeply, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings 💧. Moss roses are drought-tolerant once established.

5. Germination Time:
Seeds typically germinate in 7-10 days ⏳.

6. Ongoing Care:
Once established, moss roses need little care 🌹. Trim back any leggy growth and remove spent flowers to encourage new blooms.
