Daikon Radish Planting Guide

🌱 Daikon Radish

1. Direct Sow Early
Sow daikon radish seeds directly outdoors in early spring or late summer when soil temperatures are around 55–75°F (13–24°C). ❄️

2. Prepare the Soil
Choose loose, well-draining soil that is free of large stones. Daikon radishes need space to grow, so ensure the soil is deep and rich in nutrients. 🌱

3. Plant the Seeds
Sow seeds about ½ inch deep and space them 4–6 inches apart in rows. 🌿

4. Water Regularly
Germination typically takes 5–10 days. Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. 🌧️

5. Harvest Long Roots
Daikon radishes mature in 50–70 days. Harvest when roots are 6–8 inches long and smooth. Enjoy them fresh, in salads, or as a pickled dish! 🌱
