Dahlia🌸
1. Choose a Planting Location:
Dahlias need full sun to thrive 🌞. Select a spot with well-drained, fertile soil.
2. Prepare the Soil:
Dahlias prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0-7.0) 🌾. Work in plenty of compost or organic matter to improve fertility.
3. Planting Instructions:
Plant dahlia tubers 4-6 inches deep and space them 18-24 inches apart 🌍. If planting in rows, leave 36 inches between rows.
4. Watering Requirements:
Water dahlias deeply 💧, especially during dry weather. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
5. Germination Time:
Dahlia tubers sprout within 2-4 weeks ⏳.
6. Ongoing Care:
Deadhead spent blooms to promote new flowers 🌸. Stake tall varieties to support their heavy blooms.
