Balsam🌸
1. Choose a Planting Location:
Balsam plants prefer partial shade 🌞 but can also tolerate full sun. Choose a well-drained, fertile soil.
2. Prepare the Soil:
Balsams grow well in slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0-7.0) 🌾. Work in compost to improve soil fertility.
3. Planting Instructions:
Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep and space them 6-12 inches apart 🌍. For rows, space them 12-18 inches apart.
4. Watering Requirements:
Balsams require regular watering 💧, but make sure the soil drains well. Avoid waterlogging.
5. Germination Time:
Balsam seeds typically germinate in 7-14 days ⏳.
6. Ongoing Care:
Deadhead flowers to encourage more blooms 🌸. Remove damaged or dead leaves regularly.
